Help us take
care of the dogs
The Salem Animal Rescue League has
been extremely busy with the seizure on September
14 of the 49 dogs that were removed by Salem Animal
Control. These dogs still are in the custody of
the town of Salem, but SARL is caring for many
of them until the case is settled. These dogs
are in limbo for the duration of the case, but
of course still need food, shelter, medical care,
and attention. Since the rescue league does not
have space for that many dogs in the kennel, many
are being cared for in foster homes and other
locations supported by SARL funds.
You can help these dogs have a comfortable stay
by donating to our general relief fund. In addition
to maintaining the daily needs of the shelter,
this fund will help SARL keep provisions on hand
for emergencies such as this large influx of animals,
provide vet assistance for any animal in our care,
or assist homeless animals in critical times of
need. The Salem Animal Rescue League needs to
be at the ready for any situation. Your donation
will help SARL in these crisis situations.
Thank you for your contribution. We will continue
to update our website as more information becomes
available.
